ISO internal auditor course for your team
Train your own people to audit ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, one standard or all three together. In-house, two or three days, built on ISO 19011, and finished with a practical audit of a real process at your site.
Three ways to run it
- Single standard, 2 days: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001
- Single standard with audit practical, 3 days: the third day is a supervised audit of one of your own processes, written up as a real report
- Integrated management system, 3 days: two or three standards together, for teams auditing an integrated system
Who it is for: the people who will run your internal audit programme, management representatives, HSE and quality staff, and managers from other departments who will audit areas they do not run, which is what keeps the audit impartial.
From audit programme to closed finding
How the standards are built
The shared clause structure, what each clause asks for, and what is specific to quality, environment and health and safety.
Planning an audit
The audit programme, scope and criteria for each audit, impartiality, and preparing a checklist that tests the system rather than the manual.
Gathering evidence
Interviewing, sampling records and observing work, following ISO 19011. What counts as objective evidence and what does not.
Grading and reporting findings
Major and minor nonconformities and opportunities for improvement, written so the clause, the evidence and the gap are clear.
Corrective action and follow-up
Root cause, correction versus corrective action, and checking that the fix worked before a finding is closed.
Before you book
Do ISO internal auditors need to be certified?
No. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 require internal auditors to be competent and impartial, not certified. A course like this is the usual way to show competence: it gives your auditors the method and a record of training that a certification body will look at.
How long is the ISO internal auditor course?
Two days for a single standard, or three days with a practical audit of a real process at your premises. The integrated management system version, covering two or three standards together, runs over three days.
Can one course cover ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 together?
Yes. The three standards share the same structure, so most of the audit method is common. The integrated course teaches it once and then covers what is specific to quality, environment and health and safety, so one team can audit an integrated system.
Where and how is the course delivered?
In-house, as a closed course for your team, at your premises or a venue you choose, in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Content is built around your own system and procedures where they exist, so the practical work is useful afterwards. Contact us for dates and a quotation for your group.
What do participants receive?
A certificate of completion from ESGweise, the course material, and a working set of audit tools: checklists, an audit plan, a findings log and a report template, including our free ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal audit checklist.
