We are not a certification body: we prepare the management system, run the readiness review, and support the organisation through Stage 1 and Stage 2 with an accredited certification body of your choosing.
What we are not
We do not issue certificates and we cannot. An accredited certification body audits your system independently and issues the certificate, and the rules keeping consultancy and certification apart are the reason the certificate carries weight.
The practical benefit for you is that we have no commercial relationship with any certification body, so when we help you compare them there is no preferred answer behind the advice.

Readiness review
An honest gap assessment against the standard before a certification body is engaged, so Stage 1 does not become an expensive way of discovering what is missing.
Certification body selection
Accreditation checked for the specific standard and scope, sector experience, regional auditor availability, and fees across the full three-year cycle rather than the first audit.
Stage 1 and Stage 2 support
Evidence packs assembled, people prepared for the questions they will actually be asked, and findings addressed between the two stages rather than after both.
Surveillance and recertification
The certificate is maintained through the cycle. Most losses of certification are the result of drift between audits, not of failing one.
Why six to twelve months, and not less
The constraint is not documentation. It is that the standards require evidence the system has actually been operating.
Before Stage 2 can succeed you generally need a completed internal audit cycle, a management review that considered real data, and records showing the system running for a meaningful period. None of that can be produced faster by writing faster, which is why certification timelines quoted as eight weeks tend to end in a deferred Stage 2.

How do we choose a certification body?
Check that it is accredited by a recognised accreditation body for the specific standard and scope you need, not merely that it calls itself accredited. Then consider sector experience, auditor availability in your region and the fee structure across the full three-year cycle rather than the initial audit alone. What happens in a certification audit?
It runs in two stages. Stage 1 reviews documentation and readiness and identifies anything that would prevent a successful Stage 2. Stage 2 is the full audit of implementation and effectiveness, on site and against evidence. Findings are classified, major nonconformities must be closed before the certificate is issued, and the certificate is then maintained through surveillance audits and a recertification audit at the end of the cycle.
How long does it take to get certified?
From a standing start, typically six to twelve months depending on the standard, the size and complexity of the organisation, and how much already exists. The constraint is rarely documentation. It is that most standards require evidence the system has been operating, including a completed internal audit and a management review, before Stage 2 can succeed. That operating period cannot be compressed by writing faster.
