ISO management systems

An ISO management system is the documented way an organisation plans, runs, checks and improves its work against an international standard. ISO 14001 covers environmental management, ISO 45001 occupational health and safety, ISO 50001 energy and ISO 22301 business continuity. All of them share the same harmonised structure, so they can run as one integrated system. In the GCC, certification is a common condition of tenders, supplier registration and lender due diligence, and a certificate holds only while the system behind it passes surveillance audits each year and recertification every three years. This collection starts with which standards matter for ESG and how an integrated system fits together, then works through the main standards one by one, including the move from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001, management review and management of change. It then covers business continuity and resilience under ISO 22301, followed by anti-bribery, asset management, competence and the shift to digital management systems.
